Constructive Teaching & learning with Technology: Integrating Environment in Classroom Practices

CETE-TISS
Enrollment in this course is by invitation only

About This Course

This is a practice-based online course with a key focus on integrating technology with core subjects through environmental education. Teachers will learn how to connect environmental themes with subject content, and how to use technology in a constructivist way to make learning relevant, inquiry-driven, and authentic for students.
Through hands-on activities, case studies, and various resources, the course will help teachers design technology-enabled student activities—especially project-based learning—that deepen understanding of environmental concepts and awareness, and core subjects. Teachers will learn to create learning experiences where students explore and address real-world environmental issues, apply subject knowledge, and use technology for inquiry, analysis, and collaboration. The course is adapted from the original course titled Constructive Teaching and Learning with Technology, which was developed by Dr. Amina Charania.
The present version has been modified and contextualised for pre-service teachers and teacher educators, with a focus on integrating environmental education within classroom teaching and learning practices.
